When you and your children need to escape from violence and threats in your marriage or relationship
The women’s refuge will provide you and your children with:
- safe, temporary accommodation
- protection against further violence
We will advise, support and help you in:
- finding ways out of the abusive relationship
- gaining legal protection
- completing the necessary formal paperwork
- maintaining a structured day with recreational activities for your children
- searching for housing
- your contacts with other counselling services and centres
Children will receive:
- support and counselling
- the opportunity to work through their own experiences
- access to a school / pre-school
You can reach us by telephone throughout the day and night.
The address of the women’´s refuge is confidential.
If possible, please bring the following with you:
- ID card / passport / medical insurance cards / doctors’´ certificates
- money / jewellery
- clothes / personal possessions
- children’´s favourite toy
If you are being subjected to severe domestic violence, telephone the police: Emergency number 117
The police can:
- intervene in instances of severe domestic violence
- immediately evict the perpetrator from the apartment for 14 days
- prohibit the perpetrator from entering certain areas and/or contacting you or your children
- Thanks to these protective measures, you and your children can remain at home and plan your next steps.
